How Long Do Westies Live? I went for a walk with my son Jonathan and Pepper, our dog Westie, near the beach where we live. I met a neighbor named John whom I had not seen in centuries. I was very surprised to see him alone, because he has a black Labrador and the two are inseparable.
Naturally, I asked about Barney, and his face twisted. I knew something was wrong. His answer was that he had to leave Barney because he had developed cancer and it appeared so quickly. He didn’t want his friend to suffer.
I told John I was very sorry. He knew I meant, as all dog lovers do. After all, this is the death of one of your family. Non-dog owners cannot understand and feel that they are losing out on such love and loyalty.
The news hurt Jonathan, because he would always play with Barney and make such a fuss about it.
It made me wonder how long our Pepper would live. In general, Westie should live to be about 15 years old if he is likely to be cared for, and also if he does not have a serious health problem.
He is now 6 years old and I still can’t believe he is that old. Maybe it’s a sign that I’m getting old, because my kids seem to have grown up for a moment.
I hugged Pepper tightly when I got home and he also got a few extra treats. I do not want you to take it for granted and will monitor his health examinations with proper care western highland terrier He always looks like a little puppy again, every time he comes back from the groomers. I also have to start re-creating western photos.
So for all dog lovers, please be sure to hug your pet today
